New dockless bays for rental e-scooters and e-bikes

Lambeth Council is currently installing 191 new dockless bays across the borough for rental e-scooters and e-bikes to reduce pavement clutter.

The expansion will bring the total number to over 240 meaning that most of Lambeth’s residents will be able to reach a bay within a 5-minute walk. Once all the bays are installed, users will be required to park in these locations.

From next month, rental e-scooters will be permitted for use in the south of Lambeth under an ongoing trial scheme by Transport for London that has been operating in the north of Lambeth since July 2021.

This forms part of a commitment in the Kerbside Strategy to expand the coverage of rental e-scooter and e-bike services across the whole borough.

The operators for the e-scooter trial are Dott, Lime and Voi. For rental e-bikes, the operators which provide a service in Lambeth are Tier, Lime and Forest.

Residents who would like to participate in the consultation for the new bays can do so by visiting our consultation page.

This was shared previously in our December Big Shift update. The specific locations for new dockless bays in and around the Streatham Wells LTN area are below:
